The Innovation Village, an ecosystem convener for entrepreneurs is co-organizing the Uganda Innovation Week (UIW) 2022 together with Startup Uganda under the theme; 'Uganda's Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: Unlocking the Missing Links.'

One of the tracks at UIW will highlight some of the current gaps in women's entrepreneurship, such as the fact that despite recent statistics highlighting women as the larger percentage of entrepreneurs in the country, the number of women-owned businesses that scale up or attract funding remains significantly low.

The Innovation Village will host a session, convening Industry experts, Founders, Academia and Investors, to address the key barriers that contribute towards creating and sustaining the gender gap in innovation and entrepreneurship. The discussion will focus on strategies for the diversity and inclusion of women in innovation and entrepreneurship.
